The true story of crane operator Maurice Flitcroft, a dreamer and indefatigable optimist. With a ruse, he makes it into the qualifying round of the British Open Golf Championships in 1976 without ever having stood on a golf course before. With perseverance and unshakeable belief in himself, he manages to compete at the highest level of professional golf.
