James Bond has surrendered his licence to kill on behalf of the British secret service and is enjoying his retirement in Jamaica. The peaceful time comes to an unexpected end when his old CIA colleague Felix Leiter shows up and asks him for help. An important scientist has been kidnapped and must be found as quickly as possible. What begins as a simple rescue mission soon reaches an ominous turning point, as Bond comes across a mysterious adversary who is in possession of a highly dangerous new technology.
