Dozens of ICRC delegates and doctors from Switzerland, Germany and France provided medical assistance and worked under difficult conditions in the interior of the country during the civil war that raged in Yemen in the 1960s. This was one of the most spectacular and efficient frontline actions of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
