When a Sherpa family is asked by a group of mountaineers to lead a trek over the so far unconquered eastern face of the imposing Kumbhakarnain Nepal, they are faced with a dilemma. Not only is the summit more challenging than Mount Everest, but in the local Kirant religion it is considered a sacred mountain that must not be climbed. The father would like to earn the necessary money for his son's education with the expedition and leads the three foreigners to the mountain. The film captures breathtaking pictures of the majestic mountain world.
