Parisian taxi driver Charles is having a pretty bad day. He is deep in debt, in danger of losing his driving licence because of numerous traffic violations, and his marriage is in danger of falling apart. But then Madeleine gets into his taxi, an elegant, resolute 92-year-old woman. Since she assumes at her age that it could be her last taxi ride at any time, she asks Charles to make a few stops on the way to the nursing home: Once again she wants to see those places that were important in her life. With each stop, Madeleine's amazing past unfolds and Charles is increasingly fascinated by her stories. What begins as a normal taxi ride becomes a profound adventure, like life itself...
