The 31-year-old pianist Martin Listabarth received classical piano lessons from the age of five, but was interested in improvising and composing from the very beginning. He studied both jazz and classical piano and released two solo albums, characterised by a rich spectrum of harmonies, but also snappy numbers, fuelled by clever, repetitive left-hand figures.
