The film is based on the true story of visionary American sports car manufacturer Carroll Shelby and fearless UK-born racing driver Ken Miles. Together they fight against the intervention of their client, the laws of physics and their own inner demons to build a revolutionary sports car for the Ford Motor Company. Their aim is to defeat Enzo Ferrari's dominant racing cars at the 1966 Le Mans 24 Hours in France.
