In a remote mountain village high in the Swiss Alps, Anna holds on to her love for Marco - against all odds. Michael Koch's new film is reminiscent of Fredi M.Murer's "Höhenfeuer" and at the same time brings the mountains of Uri and an extraordinary love story to the screen with its very own images.
Anna has grown up in the village and has a daughter from a previous relationship, while Marco has come to the valley as an outsider to help the farmers with the hard work on the steep slopes. Together they experience the happiness of a new love and a small family. But when Marco suddenly loses control of his impulses and his behaviour becomes increasingly unpredictable, old tensions in the village community erupt again.
It is a home movie, without kitsch, but visually powerful and engaging.
