He loves Metallica and actually loves his mother too, but the fact that he now has to spend all his summer holidays with her in a small English town instead of with his father who lives in Florida as planned, brings the teenager to the brink of a nervous breakdown. Accompanied by the soundtrack of the indie band Belle and Sebastian, director Simon Bird succeeds in a wonderful, funny and at the same time touching coming-of-age comedy, which definitely ignites the desire for vacation, music and fish and chips.
